An important part of running any community is the ability to manage its members. As a moderator of an Auxxit community, you are given a few tools to make the process much easier!
Your Membership List
From the community settings modal, tap the "View Membership" option to quickly access your list of members. This takes you to the membership tab in the Community Details screen, where you will see a list of members.
Search a member by their username or find the member within the list, then long-press it to bring up a list of options. Moderators have the following options when managing members:
- Kick
- Ban
- Mute
- Verify Seller
Community owners have some additional options when managing members:
- Promote to / demote moderator
Muting a Member
Muting a member sets a temporary mute on that user within the group, preventing them from sending messages for a specified period of time. Mutes can be managed / undone from the membership list.
Banning a Member
Banning a member removes them from the group and prevents them from requesting to rejoin.
Kicking a Member
Kicking a member removes them from the group. They are able to request to rejoin.
Verifying a Seller
Moderators can verify members of a community as trusted sellers, giving them a green check mark next to their username on item listings.
Limiting Member Activity
Apart from the tools to manage individual members, moderators have access to a few settings that allow them to limit member activity at the community level. From the Community Settings screen, go to "Advanced".
To adjust either setting, toggle it on/off and tap the "Save" button at the top-right.
Restrict Item Listing
Restricting item listing allows only moderators to list items within the community
Restrict Community Posts
Restricting community posts allows only moderators to send posts to the main community chat.
